Plandat is trying to address the needs for our fast-growing plant parent community. About 66% of the people in America own indoor plants! That is 3 people in every group of 5! In fact, many people picked up this hobby and some even became a professional over the COVID years, but now, as we are in the post-COVID era, traveling more frequently, what should we do with our plants? Plandat can help!

Plandat's initial design is to provide a solution for traveling plant parents, offering a device that monitors, waters, and allows plant parents to take care of your plants through the app while they are not around. Then, we slowly constructed a wholistic idea to offer more to our potential users. We'll walk you through the device and the app!

The Device
The device includes a monitor that functions as a baby-cam, or a pet-monitor. You can check on your plants through the phone, making sure your plants are doing okay during your time away. The other component of the device would be the feeding tubes, which gives plant food, water, or even remedies for your plants! Through the smart switch on the app, you can control everything remotely without feeling unsure about how your plants are doing.

- Plant Identification
Simply take a photo of your plants, and add your plants to the app! If you are unsure about what your plant is, Voila! Our Plandat app will let you know!

- Light Meter
With the monitor, the app will detect the light level of your plants, and suggest you if your plants would be happy under the amount of light it is absorbing.

- Smart Care Reminder
The Plandat app will send you notifications when your plant needs watering, fertilizer, pruning, treatments, repotting, or if the weather is not suitable for your plants. Sit back and relax while we keep an eye on them!

- Consulting
Our Plandat team is available through the consulting feature on the app. Chat with us if you need suggestions, treatment plans, or solutions for your plants!

By downloading the Plandat app, you are automatically a Plandat community member. Members can share their experience with plants, ask questions, or look for plant swap or trade oppurtunities!
